New Super Nintendo game: Super Road Blaster

New Super Nintendo game: Super Road Blaster

I’m Matthias Nagler and have recently released a new game for the SNES.
It’s an unlicensed port of a 1986 Laserdisc arcade game,
the first full-motion movie game and the biggest game on the Super Nintendo yet at 6320 Mbit.

The game is called Super Road Blaster and uses a special enhancement device called the MSU-1 that enables CD quality audio
and a vast amount of storage space on the SNES.
After 20 years, this game shows what titles on the ill-fated SNES CD-ROM drive might have looked like.
And furthermore, it shows what the SNES would have been capable of in this department in comparison with its fiercest competitor,
the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.

If that sounds interesting to you, the free game download, a gameplay-video and a couple of screenshots await you here:
Just got an interesting email:

However, please do note that I do not own the distribution rights to this game.
I’m a hobbyist and this SNES port is a matter of heart for me,
as I’ve been in love with this game and the SNES since childhood.

Any questions? Just ask!

Cheers,

Matthias “d4s” Nagler
