The sequel to 2009’s anime-flavored fighting game, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift introduces three new characters, added play options, more stages, and other refinements. Those new to the series can acclimate themselves to the combo-centric controls with the beginner and tutorial modes, while BlazBlue veterans can attempt to achieve character-specific objectives in the challenge mode. In the legion mode, an army of characters can be enlisted to reclaim enemy-controlled territories on a map. Four environments have been added to the existing locales from the first game, along with seven new music tracks from composer Diasuke Ishiwatari. Characters include the female knight Tsubaki, a mastermind known as Hazama, and an alluring armored female named mu-12. Challenge other players from around the world, chat with friends, or simply observe matches to learn new techniques via Xbox Live.
