Cobra Kai

From the creator of indie beat ’em up Bad Ass Babes, this pixel art side-scroller is based on the Karate Kid movies and hit Netflix show, Cobra Kai. Thatcher Productions released a demo in early 2022 using the OpenBOR game engine.

Play as bad boy Johnny fighting through the All Valley karate tournament to challenge Daniel LaRusso and his secret weapon Crane Kick — then rebuild Cobra Kai and exact revenge!

Tight controls allow for a solid attack/defend system with a few special moves to unleash at the right time. Most interesting, the game includes a great soundtrack with real voice work, as well as chip-tune rock anthems like Kiss’s “Rock and Roll All Nite” and Joe Esposito’s “You’re the Best Around”.
