Grab your pompoms and become the coolest cheerleader in EyeToy Play: PomPom Party! The basic gameplay in this dancing game revolves around following traces on screen and collecting stars by touching them. Dancing gameplay is combined with several minigames like bursting balloons or wiping stains. Players are scored by how accurately they follow the traces, how many stars they collect and how they perform in the minigames. Earned stars can be used to unlock new costumes for your on-screen co-dancers.
Three game modes are available: tutorial, dance and freestyle. “Tutorial” explains the basic game mechanics. “Dance”-mode is the main gameplay mode, where you play for score. “Freestyle” allows to dance just for fun, without scoring. Up to two players can play simultaneously. They can work together in “Team”-mode or battle it out in “Duel”-mode. Additionally up to four players can compete in the “Tournament”-mode in hot seat fashion. The game includes 25 songs to dance to and is bundled with a pink and a green pompom, which are mandatory for gameplay. A gallery allows to watch snapshots and videos of previous performances.
