It’s been more than 200 years since war broke out, dividing all of known space into two great factions: the Deritas-Kaluchi Empire and the Pan-Capsleague Kingdom. War has been going on for so long, in fact, that neither side really even remembers why they’re fighting. A small Empire vessel on a non-combat mission, the Nirai, winds up involved in an unrelated skirmish and the ship is damaged, forcing the crew to make an emergency landing on a nearby planet in one of the escape pods.
This unnamed planet and its inhabitants do not possess space travel technology, or for that matter any advanced technology whatsoever, and are entirely unaware of the war going on. With their ship completely trashed and no ready way to call for help, the crew and passengers of the Nirai must adapt to life on this strangely serene, peaceful planet, working to repair their ship enough to call for help… if they decide they even want to leave and return to an endless war.
Hurrah! Sailor is a standard Japanese style visual novel, where the story proceeds with little interaction apart from the occasional dialogue choice. There are five different romantic interests to pursue, leading to a total of 10 different endings. There are also several different mini-games available, including a fishing game, a golf game, and a “battle shogi” board game, as well as a music player and CG gallery.
