Iron Chef is a single player timed platform game.
Cookie and Bread are two cute characters living in the village of Wonderful Land. Everyone in Wonderful Land is happy and lives in harmony with each other and with nature. Cookie and Bread are expert chefs and share a dream that one day they will open their own restaurant so that the rest of the village can share their magical food.
One day a giant kidnapped all the people and all the animals in the village. Cookie was one of the victims and brave Bread sets out to rescue her and, of course, everyone else. He strikes a deal with the giant. If Bread can make the giant the world’s best food then the giant will let everyone go.
Thus begins a platform / puzzle game in which Bread must collect food and ingredients over four levels and thirty-two sub levels. In each level the object is to collect the food items before time runs out. This means climbing ladders in the most efficient sequence and dislodging items of food so that they fall into the baskets below. On some levels there are mice who will attack Bread and, if successful, will cost the player one of their three lives.
Though the greater part of the game is keyboard driven, there are mini-games where a mouse is needed.
