SpongeBob SquarePants: Hit the Beat

SpongeBob SquarePants: Hit the Beat is a SpongeBob SquarePants arcade machine made by Andamiro. It is a SpongeBob-themed version of Andamiro’s Hit the Beat game.

The game was unveiled in January 2014. It also won the Silver Medal Award at the 2014 Best Of Show Arcade Awards.

The player chooses one of 18 silly songs and one of three heroes (SpongeBob, Squidward or Patrick) to defeat Plankton, who is using his computer to get away with a Krusty Kid’s Meal. Once the song starts playing, the player hits a 3D, LED-lit Plankton dome whenever a new note appears onscreen. Throughout the game, the player is cheered on by fan favorite characters Mr. Krabs, Pearl and Sandy.
