In 2001, Isao Okawa, the president of Sega, selflessly contributed his personal holdings of company stock, valued at $695 million, to prevent Sega from declaring bankruptcy following the commercial struggles of the Dreamcast console. Tragically, Okawa passed away shortly after this generous act.
