What’s everyone using for protection on their goodies? I have a mix of acrylic, clear boxes, and sleeves for mine. I’d like to get more acrylic but it’s so expensive. The clear boxes seem to be the most cost effective, but won’t protect the integrity of a box of weight is on it. I also want to get away from the clear sleeves, especially for my PS1 games since the cases are flimsy and I have some nice sealed games. Anyone have a good link for a cost effective option for acrylic and clear boxes?

  1. You can look at evo retro for acrylic they sell on amazon. Is company in canada. Nice street fighter game you have there.

  2. Use the thin plastic protectors for the rest

  3. Unless they’re in cardboard cases I dont put anything on them. The plastic case is enough. Super Nintendo and NES I usually only buy as cart only so they all get a plastic after market case from Custom Game Cases.

  4. I would go acrylic for anything of significant value or you want to pop when displayed

  5. Anyone watched Last Gamer on YouTube when he was active?
He had an episode where he contacted a museum expert and he said that acrylic protective cases can gather moist, which can produce mold. Don’t know if that statement holds any truth, but it’s worth checking into if you’re living in an area with a moist climate.

  6. Always love seeing your fighting games, brother. Keep it up!

  7. I think most expensive game you own over $300/$500 per system is acrylic worthy.. probably different per collector/collection though
