  1. I remember it being at the end of NES. It was the last game I got for the system. The same day I bought it, my brother picked up a Genesis.

I barely played Turtles and I just wanted to play Streets of Rage.

  2. This was the only TMNT Nes game I had as a kid and I played the hell out of it. Michaelangelo was my guy

  3. Great game. Got the sound track on vinyl and cassette

  4. For me the absolute best, and more faithful to the cartoon was the first game. The second I loved it too as it was completely different, but II and III seemed to much alike. That’s why my heart is with the first. And the key to pass the dam was to use Raphael (since he was the less effective with the enemies, short range weapon) to sacrifice him, then rescue him in the roof top of the next level. See with the first you needed strategy, the next two is hit the bottoms and go.

  5. I just ordered a copy off Mercari last night and can’t wait to play it on my NES. I have the cowabunga collection on my switch but nostalgia hits harder on vintage equipment

  6. I will say as much as I love 3 the 2nd is my favorite on NES. I just beat 2 yesterday and will beat the 3rd as soon as my mercari order gets here.

  7. Better than the first two but it’s dumb they take away health for special moves

  8. Great game but got slept on because most people had moved on to the snes or genesis.

  9. Let them sleep I got 18 copies 8 cib and 3 sealed.

  10. Because it only got released in USA.

  11. I think this one has more fun with the Turtles than the previous one. The characters are much more detailed

  12. It’s a great game, but it arrived on the NES after the SNES was already out and games on previous systems have always had that effect.
I just wish they would have released it in Europe, but even more do I hate the fact that magazines in Sweden at the time (who were normally pretty good at announcing what had been released in other territories) didn’t even do a single line of text of it.
I learned of its existence by finding it myself when I was in Los Angeles for a competition in 1994. So I blame poor advertising and timing for making it stay in the dark for many.

  13. For me tmnt 3 was my favorite turtles game. Growing up i would always rent it from the video store and play with my friends on weekends. We never beat it but those were some fun times. Today I own two copies.

  14. I feel like it was semi overshadowed from the snes turtles release a short time after.

  15. The special move spending points from your health was pure anxiety.

  16. aint no one sleeping on it. .. that bad boi hits

  17. I definitely like it but it is long and repetitive

  18. Hard to play the game when you’re sleeping 🤔

  19. It’s not that it’s slept on, just not heavily played. It released on NES in the middle of the 16 bit era.
