I purchased a PS1 many years ago, now I go to play it, the two controller port fuses are blown (PS602 and PS605). Upon digging into why they could have blown, I read a power surge from the power supply board, possibly. So that got me looking at the model# of the board in case i need to replace it. I read my power supply board SR670 – 1-473-381-15 is the wrong board for my PS1. I have an SCPH-1001 model.
I do see on ebay people selling power supply boards but they only mention specific models of PS1, so i’m assuming that you can’t just use any board, anyone know if this is true? If i replace it, I just want to make sure I use the correct part. Can’t seem to find anything specific from Sony on this.

It is true, certain consoles go out in variant models and regional areas. How far it applies to ps1 models I’m not too sure but would best be to find your model or have the board itself reworked
So unless you measured it bad, I’d put it back and just replace the fuses. Fuses can pop for basically no reason, especially 25+ year old ones. Better solution than replacing it with what is probably an equivalent board is to replace the capacitors in the console, or have someone that can do it for you.
I’ve seen a lot of PS1 with dying caps lately.
