With uncertainty of modern gaming going more and more further into digital only. Is it really the time to get out of retro? ๐ง๐คจ๐ค I’ve seen so many big YouTubers say this and I kind of laugh when I hear it. Don’t know if it’s clickbait or if they really believe that. But game ownership game preservation games not requiring updates patches and downloads that’s retro. ๐ฏ
When I seriously started to collect games in 2016 I went pretty hard on the PS4 followed by Nintendo Switch. This was a decision that I have some regrets about. I wish I’d bought more retro. Now I’m trying to buy games here and there. But this post covid world and this s***** economy has made prices more ridiculous.
But I still want to purchase retro. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking but the games just hit differently. They were so creative so much unique titles and interesting ideas that unfortunately we don’t see today. And those came from the big companies that now only put out glorified QTE “cinematic” movie games. That cost billions of dollars but don’t have any depth to them.
I want more PS1 PS2 GameCube GBA and DS. Because those were the consoles that met the most to me. How do you all feel about this?
Also if you’re selling any games from those consoles definitely let me know. ๐๐๐๐๐ PayPal will be ready. Thank you! ๐โค๏ธ
