a5200ds v3.9 has been released. a5200DS is an Atari 5200 emulator designed for the Nintendo DS and DSi, created by Alekmaul. This emulator is built upon the source code of Atari800. To operate this emulator, you’ll require compatible roms in a52/bin format, alongside the 5200.bin rom bios.

60Hz True-Sync feature implemented. Emulation is now aligned with the LCD display to prevent tearing, which notably enhances scrolling games such as River Raid or Vanguard.
New Favorites feature added… In the game selection menu, press SELECT to switch between like (yellow heart) and love (red heart). These preferences will be saved for easy access to your favorite games later.
Enhanced frame skip handling that effectively manages player-missile graphics/collisions. This improvement enables older devices like the DS-Lite (and those using R4 cards) to run most games at full speed without compromising core emulation accuracy (no more cases of shots missing enemies). Devices like the DSi running on TWL++ won’t require frame skipping.
More games function correctly now – issues like game glitches with Star Raiders have been resolved, and default controller settings have been improved for several games, among other enhancements.
Numerous adjustments, optimizations, and specific hacks have been introduced, allowing demanding games to function at or close to full speed on older handheld devices.
