clownmdemu v1.6.4.1 has been released, marking progress in this Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) emulator, which is still in early development. While it can run some games, many features remain unemulated. The latest update addresses several issues, including a memory leak with CHD files, corrupted files in Emscripten builds, and audio playback from command-line startups. clownmdemu v1.6.4.1 has been released. This version of clownmdemu is an emulator for the Sega Mega Drive (also known as Sega Genesis). It’s in the early stages of development; some games can be run, but several standard Mega Drive features are still unemulated (refer to clownmdemu-frontend-common/clownmdemu/TODO.md for more details).

Addressed crashes in Emscripten builds when attempting to load games from a URL.
Fixed stack overflow in the About menu in Emscripten builds.
Implemented -f/–fullscreen to consistently run the emulator as if it were in full-screen mode, regardless of its actual state.
Corrected an issue with the menu bar not auto-hiding on the Steam Deck (Gamescope).
Resolved ‘integer screen scaling’ option not being retained.
