Access Software, Inc.
Founded in Salt Lake City in 1982 by Bruce Carver and Chris Jones, Access Software became known for technical sports simulations and narrative adventure games produced through the 1980s and 1990s. Early hits include Beach‑Head and the controversial 1984 action title Raid Over Moscow; the studio later created the Links golf series (including Links 386 and Links LS editions) and the Tex Murphy adventure cycle (Mean Streets, Under a Killing Moon). The team operated from Utah, shifted into CD‑era FMV adventures in the mid‑1990s, and continued under the Access/Indie Built lineage until the late 1990s acquisitions. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as DOS, Windows, Commodore 64, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, Apple II, Atari ST, Atari 8-bit, and BBC Micro.
