Free42 is a sophisticated re-implementation of the HP-42S scientific programmable RPN calculator, originally produced by Hewlett-Packard from 1988 to 1995, along with the HP-82240 printer. It’s impressive that Free42 was developed from scratch, ensuring that no HP code was utilized, yet it remains fully compatible with the HP-42S without requiring any ROM images.
