DOSBox simulates an Intel x86 PC, providing sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, and other components necessary for running many classic MS-DOS games that cannot function on contemporary PCs and operating systems like Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, and FreeBSD.
