I received a retroUSB AVS for Christmas, along with an Everdrive N8 Pro and a pair of Retro-Bit Origin 8 wireless controllers. My issue is with the Origin 8 wireless receivers – they’ve never fit well in the controller poets on my AVS. And by fit well, I mean they barely make a connection at all. You have to wiggle and push just so, and they will literally fall out of the plug when changing a game cart or walking by the TV stomping too hard. I tried original NES wired controllers in the AVS and they fit snugly and perfectly.

Have any of you purchased Retro-Bit controllers and experienced poor fitting plug-in on your consoles, any console? I contacted Retro-Bit support and got no sympathy or ideas on resolving the issue. Based on reviews I see on Amazon, I’m not alone in this. Support said something about cold weather and plastic?

I chose their controller over the 8Bitdo N30 and the retroUSB Wireless Gamepad for price, appearance, and the dedicated physical switch for auto fire. But dang having the receiver fall out of the console all the time sucks.
