Igir v4.3.2 has been released as a zero-setup ROM collection manager, capable of sorting, filtering, extracting, archiving, and patching ROMs on any OS. The update includes user-requested features: a “–patch-only” option for writing only patched ROMs and a “–trim-scan-files” option to improve processing speed by avoiding scans of non-archived files. This setting allows you to always or never scan files not contained within archives. Using –trim-scan-files never can significantly enhance your processing speed if you’re sure you don’t have any trimmed ROMs.

Certain ROM frontends differentiate regional versions of consoles, including:
NEC PC Engine vs. TurboGrafx
