Feature: –trim-scan-files
This option allows you to either always or never scan files that are not within archives. Using –trim-scan-files never can enhance your processing speed if you’re certain there are no trimmed ROMs present.

Certain ROM frontends distinguish between regional variants for consoles, such as:
NEC PC Engine vs. TurboGrafx
