melonDS Git (2026/02/08) is an open-source Nintendo DS emulator that is part of a second wave of DS emulators. It features a nearly complete core, fast JIT recompiler, and OpenGL renderer with 3D upscaling. Additional features include RTC, microphone support, joystick compatibility, savestates, customizable display modes, and ongoing work for local multiplayer, online connectivity, DSi emulation, and GBA slot add-ons. The latest update automates “full BIOS boot” based on BIOS checksums. For those interested, melonDS is available for download.
