NegaMAME v0.286.1 has been released, enhancing NNegatron, a user-friendly MAME front-end. Initially launched in November 2015, it was the first to fully utilize MAME’s machine configurations. However, changes in MAME’s data-sharing method in May 2017 limited access to crucial information. In June 2018, Negatron collaborated with the new NegaMAME derivative, which mirrors official MAME functionality but restores the missing data access. This partnership allows Negatron to regain the full feature set it offered in 2015. Users can download NegaMAME v0.286.1 for an improved experience.

This variant functions identically to the official MAME but incorporates a command that allows third-party front-ends to retrieve the information that has been inaccessible since v0.186, thereby enabling Negatron to fully restore its features from 2015.
