Project64 Git (2026/03/14) is a proprietary Nintendo 64 emulator for Windows that employs a plug-in system for third-party developers. Originally developed by Jabo and zilmar as a programming exercise, Project64 is now open source. Project64 Git (2026/03/14) has been compiled. Project 64 is a proprietary emulator for Nintendo 64 that runs on Windows. It employs a plug-in architecture that permits third-party developers to create their own versions of specific components. With Project64, users can play Nintendo 64 games on their computers by loading ROM images, which can be either extracted from the read-only memory of a Nintendo 64 cartridge or generated directly on the computer as homebrew software. The inception of Project64 was a collaborative effort by Jabo and zilmar to challenge their programming skills in building a Nintendo 64 emulator. It is now open source.
