Infocom, Inc.
Infocom, Inc. began at the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science in the late 1970s and was officially formed in 1979 as a software company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Early team members who moved from MIT’s Dynamic Modeling Group into the company included Marc Blank, Tim Anderson and Dave Lebling, with Joel Berez and others joining the founding group. During the 1980s Infocom published a string of parser-driven interactive fiction titles — most famously the Zork series — alongside works such as Enchanter and Fooblitzky, distributed across microcomputer platforms of the era. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, cover Apple II, DOS, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST, Atari 8-bit, Amstrad CPC, Windows, Amiga CD32, and NES.
