ROM Attributes Version 2.7

ROM Properties v2.7 has been released, enhancing file managers with additional information for managing video game ROMs and disc images on Linux and Windows. Key updates include support for Android APKs and Z3DS compressed formats, improved details view in Windows and GNOME Nautilus, and special handling for 16-bit EXE thumbnails. Windows installations now use Inno Setup, with distinct packages for various versions, including options for both XP and later. Ubuntu packages are available via a PPA supporting multiple releases. ROM Properties v2.7 has been launched. ROM Properties serves as a shell extension that allows file managers to display additional information. It is currently available for both Linux and Windows platforms. This extension enhances file browsers by providing useful features for managing video game ROMs and disc images.

The Windows installation is now bundled with Inno Setup.
For Windows 7 and newer, use SetupRomProperties-2.7.exe. (Inno Setup 6.6.0; supports i386, amd64, and arm64)
For Windows XP, 2003, and Vista, use SetupRomPropertiesXP-2.7.exe. (Inno Setup 5.6.1; supports i386 and amd64)
Ubuntu packages can be obtained from an Ubuntu PPA for the following releases:
Ubuntu 16.04 “Xenial” Xerus
Ubuntu 18.04 “Bionic” Beaver
Ubuntu 20.04 “Focal” Fossa
Ubuntu 22.04 “Jammy” Jellyfish
Ubuntu 24.04 “Noble” Numbat

To add the PPA and install rom-properties, execute these commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gerbilsoft/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rom-properties-all
This will install all frontends and executables for rom-properties. Specific frontends can be installed by using the appropriate rom-properties-* package.
