About this project
This release marks the Tenth Anniversary of this hack. With this edition, unlimited continues and an extra life per continue have been added for a more enjoyable experience. Achievement and leaderboard support has also been added with this edition.
In the hack, all overworld and underworld maps have been revamped, so no maps from the original game will be encountered. The areas in this hack may need to be completed in a different order than the original game.
It is recommended to complete the original game before attempting this hack. Once the new layout has been familiarized with, the difficulty level and completion time of this hack is comparable to those of the original game. This hack, however, tests in-depth knowledge typically only obtainable from having played the original game. Items are generously distributed, because the hack is intended to be challenging but fun.
Three different routes all lead to the ending of this hack. The more upgrades obtained, the easier the route, but the longer the route as well. The question of whether the Lost Key can be recovered, remains. Everything discovered can be used to an advantage, so it is recommended to take notes of any clues encountered.
A trailer is available below. Video walkthroughs that spoil the answers (but not the clues) are also available on the same channel.
