Super JRPG Fan Acquires 1000 NES Dragon Warrior Games

Dedicated Fan Amasses 1000 Copies of Dragon Warrior on NES, and the Quest Continues

In a remarkable display of passion and commitment, a devoted fan of the classic Enix JRPG, Dragon Warrior (known as Dragon Quest in Japan), has achieved an incredible milestone by collecting 1000 copies of the game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The individual behind this extraordinary feat, known as Ferris Bueller, is the current owner of The Unorthadox Dragon Warrior Collection.

The Origins of the Collection

The story of this impressive collection began with a NintendoAge forum member named Space Jockey, who initially started gathering Dragon Warrior cartridges. However, when life’s responsibilities intervened and his enthusiasm diminished, Space Jockey decided to sell his collection to Ferris Bueller on the same forum. Since then, Bueller has been tirelessly working on expanding the collection, which has now reached an astonishing 1000 copies.

The Journey to 1000 Copies and Beyond

Bueller’s dedication to the collection was recently highlighted when he attended the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was there that he acquired the 1000th copy of Dragon Warrior, solidifying The Unorthadox Dragon Warrior Collection as the first mega collection for the NES, and possibly across all video game systems.

Bueller shared his thoughts on the collection’s milestone:

“While the website may be behind on updates, the collecting of Dragon Warriors has continued on. A little over a fortnight ago while attending the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the 1000th copy of Dragon Warrior was obtained. With that, the Unorthadox Dragon Warrior collection becomes the first mega collection for the NES, possibly across all video games systems.”

However, Bueller’s ambitions don’t stop at 1000 copies. He has set his sights on an even more ambitious goal:

“Let it be known, the collecting will continue. To reach the next level, thy collection must increase to 2500. Remember, it took almost a decade to get the first 1000. A more thorough post will happen when the website catches up, but for now I’d like to give a big thank you to everyone who has contributed thus far and thanks to all who will be contributing to the collection in the near future!”

A Testament to the Lasting Impact of Dragon Warrior

Ferris Bueller’s unwavering commitment to collecting Dragon Warrior cartridges serves as a testament to the enduring impact and popularity of this groundbreaking JRPG. As fans eagerly await updates on the progress of The Unorthadox Dragon Warrior Collection, Bueller’s dedication reminds us of the power of video games to inspire and unite enthusiasts across generations.
