Three Beans (April 6, 2026)

3Beans (2026/04/06) is a low-level 3DS emulator that runs the entire OS as if on real hardware, capable of booting the home menu and playing cartridge games. However, it is still in early development and has various issues. Currently, it is fully interpreted and software-rendered, leading to slow performance but high portability. Future updates may incorporate hardware acceleration or high-level elements for improved speed. Recent changes include ongoing responses to maintain high-level emulation (HLE) DSP and initial HLE DSP added for initialization. Download is available for 3Beans (2026/04/06).

3Beans (2026/04/06) has been released. This emulator operates at a low level, allowing it to run the complete 3DS OS as if it were running on genuine hardware. It can access the home menu and play cartridge-based titles, though it is still in its early stages and has numerous issues. Currently, it is fully interpreted and uses software rendering, making it portable yet slower. As the project develops, I may look into implementing hardware acceleration or higher-level features to enhance performance.

3Beans Changelog:
* Respond periodically to maintain HLE DSP functionality
* Introduce initial HLE DSP that completes initialization
