3Beans (2026/02/26) was released, emulating the 3DS at a low level, enabling it to run the entire OS and play cartridge-based games. However, it’s still in early stages with numerous issues, being fully interpreted and software-rendered, which affects performance. Future developments may include hardware acceleration or high-level features to improve speed. The latest changelog notes improvements in handling DSP modulo modes.

3Beans (2026/02/26) has been launched. 3Beans provides low-level emulation of the 3DS, allowing it to operate the entire OS as it would on actual hardware. It can access the home menu and run cartridge-based games, though it’s still in the early stages and has a lot of problems. Currently, it runs fully interpreted and is software-rendered, which enhances portability but slows down performance. If the project evolves sufficiently, I may look into adding hardware acceleration or implementing high-level features to improve speed.
