Ares Git (2025/12/01) is a multi-system emulator focusing on accuracy and preservation, launched on October 14, 2004. It evolved from higan and bsnes and currently emulates 27 hardware devices, including Famicom, Super Famicom, Nintendo 64 (in development), Game Boy, Master System, Mega Drive, PC Engine, MSX, ColecoVision, Neo Geo Pocket, and WonderSwan. The latest changelog includes fixes for CD-DA playback and the removal of dead code. The emulator is available for download in x64 format.
