Ares Git (2026/02/25) is a multi-system emulator launched on October 14, 2004, and is derived from higan and bsnes, emphasizing accuracy and preservation. It currently emulates 27 devices, including Famicom, Super Famicom, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, and more. Recent updates have addressed GPU hblank timing, fixed an exit abort issue related to invalid mutex unlocking, and enabled scheduler synchronization for PS1 emulation.
