Ares Git (2026/01/28) is a multi-system emulator, evolved from higan and bsnes, focusing on accuracy and preservation since its development began on October 14, 2004. It currently emulates 27 devices, including Famicom, Super Famicom, and various Nintendo handhelds, among others. The latest changelog notes updates to vulkan.cpp, improvements to Game Boy Advance OBJ mosaic counters, and fixes for interactions between OBJ mosaic and priority. The emulator aims to provide a high-fidelity gaming experience for retro enthusiasts. Download options are available for both x64 and source versions.
