The 16 bit era was a golden age of gaming that brought us some of the most iconic titles in history. Whether you were a Sega Genesis kid blasting through Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage, or a Super Nintendo fan mastering Super Metroid and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, there was something magical about the graphics, music, and gameplay of that time.

There was an energy to these games that just hits differently today. The soundtracks were catchy and memorable, the pixel art was colorful and full of personality, and the challenge level made victory feel incredibly rewarding. Many of these games still hold up decades later and remain favorites for speedrunners, collectors, and casual players alike.

So let us kick this off. What is the one 16 bit game you could play over and over without getting tired of it? Bonus points if you share a memory of when you first played it. Screenshots, box art scans, or even your own retro setup pics are more than welcome.
