Atari Games Corporation

Atari Games Corporation operated as the arcade and coin‑op arm spun out of Atari’s original business and used the Atari Games name from 1985 into the late 1990s. Headquartered in Milpitas, California, it was created under Warner Communications and later passed through Namco, Time Warner and WMS/Midway ownership changes. Hideyuki Nakajima and, later, Dan Van Elderen served as presidents; designer Ed Logg was among its senior developers. During its arcade era the company produced and distributed landmark cabinets such as Gauntlet, Paperboy, Marble Madness and Hard Drivin’. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as Arcade, Atari ST, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum, Amiga, DOS, NES, Lynx, and Genesis.
