Softgold Computerspiele GmbH

Softgold Computerspiele GmbH was a German game publisher active from the mid-1980s into the 1990s that released and localized PC and Amiga software for the German market. Formed around 1985 as the software arm tied to distributor Rushware, it handled German releases and translations for international developers and appeared on many compilation and retail packages. In 1991 the company was combined with Rushware under Funsoft Holding GmbH. Notable releases attributed to the publisher include LucasArts adventure ports such as The Curse of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, multiple Games, Games, Games compilation volumes, and various bundled “World of” collections.
