Virgin Interactive Entertainment, Inc.

Virgin Interactive Entertainment, Inc. was the United States publishing arm of the Virgin Interactive family active in the 1990s. Based in the U.S., it released PC and console versions of several high-profile titles of the era, including Windows and retail releases of Command & Conquer and Red Alert that were tied to Westwood Studios’ development. The U.S. operations worked alongside European Virgin branches but were distinct entities; those U.S. assets, including Westwood-related publishing arrangements, were sold to Electronic Arts in August 1998. The game entries below, including versions and later rereleases grouped in this archive, span systems such as DOS, Windows, PlayStation, SEGA Saturn, Amiga, Genesis, 3DO, SNES, PlayStation 3, and PSP.
