About this project
This is a retranslation and restoration patch for the original Mega Man X.
Features:
- Each character has a font colour specific to their dialogue.
- The script is completely redone to be more faithful to Rock Man X's script while keeping localized names.
- Typos are fixed, namely the Horming Torpedo screen.
- Hoganmer AI restored. Use a charged Rolling Shield to break their shields and witness their originally unused shieldless behaviour.
- Damage table fixed slightly to make the buster and Hadouken consistent on every enemy. Wolf Sigma can now be hit with the Hadouken as a bonus.
- The dummied out debug menu is now accessible anywhere by pressing L + X + A mid-gameplay.
There is a version of the patch included with the gameplay changes applied, and a version of the patch with the retranslation on its own.
