About this project

This is Jay's unofficial FE4 patch, built originally off of his work on J2e's translation but now all of the work is completely the work of Jay and Boo (the translator). Sadly, neither Jay nor Boo have much time to work on such a huge project anymore, but if you'd like to continue their work, be their guest!

The patch's description on the website reads "Not to be enjoyed", and they're completely right. Most stuff has been fully translated and a lot of it looks really nice (the dialogue in Chapters 0 and 1 have been properly revised), but most of it needs a lot of work before this game can be considered anywhere near playable. At least it doesn't crash as much anymore.

All code and translations are now released under the GPL. The current version seems to be 0.50.9.1, but I can't find a patch for it. But here's the source (link) if you want to check that out. It compiles under Linux.

1.	Translation History

Stove worked on it, stopped. Tiger Claw worked on it, stopped. STove
worked on it again, and so did Tiger claw. They realized they were both
working on it and worked together. Jay joined, and with his super-nifty
powers, cracked compression, found tables, made inserters, etc. etc..
Tiger left, Jay left, STove all alone again. Help stove.. help him.. :)
