Thankfully my expensive systems werent on there and mostly game cases.

Looking for an affordable shelf to hold games. Everything I’m finding at Walmart or target is simply too gapped in height or too deep to display game spines for nes up to xbox 360 games.

Any good amazon recommendations are a plus.

  1. Are you looking for something to hold your games or the system

  4. This is why I get freaked out when folks have insane gaming collections worth more than the house they’re in … on IKEA shelving 😬 I paid a grand for a custom made solid pine ps1 unit for the full PAL set and its not even come close to bowing/breaking, breaks me seeing this man 🙁

  5. I’ve got Billy Bookcases, Kalax, and Besta shelves/units.. not just for gaming.. but find them too deep, personally. It’s fine if you’ve got loads of games and don’t mind them being buried behind others. But I’d also like something where you can see them all. Those Atlantic cabinets look good.. might see if I can find them here.

  6. oof, painful to look at. Hopefully no damage to your collection. 🤞

  7. Bruh get a drill and some screws and make your own shelf. Or at least rebuild the one you broke lol. You can get 90° steel brackets to reinforce the shelves

  8. Try custom designing at IKEA

  9. Finby bookshelves from IKEA, just don’t be mad if you need to buy 3 to get raw number of shelves per unit you need, they’re fairly cheap and it’s worth it

  10. Not gonna lie…..I got palpitations looking at this.

  11. I got this wall mounted shelf from Amazon

  12. Had that happen to be back in 2009, cost me about 10k in sealed games. Never again will I do wall mount or cheaply made shelving. IKEA Billy’s with glass doors are where it’s at for me now.

  13. This is actually one of my biggest fears.

  14. I’ll give another vote for Atlantic Oskar shelves. Build them face down, not face up like they suggest to avoid twisting them when you stand them up, or flipping them over to the put the backs on.

  15. The pain I feel for you can not
    be put into words

  16. Go to Amazon and look up Atlantic Oskar Media shelf.

  17. I’ll 2nd those Atlantic media shelves.

  18. Fix the shelving unit to the wall
Imagine that lot falling on a baby
I say this to alot of collectors with young kids

  19. Can you show a picture of what your shelves looked like before they collapsed? Just curious to see what may have caused them to fall.

  20. IKEA has some decent ones. I forget what they’re called. Can’t hold too many game tho so you’d need a few.

  21. Atlantic shelves are the best! Just need to measure the space you are putting it in
