Back in the days of MSN Gaming zone(when you had to insert discs to play your games age I mean) I used to play a LOT of Army Men II, Age of Empires.
ย
One game me and a friend played "Resident Evil" a scenario in "The Big Easy" I set up, we'd have our armies(with a plastic modifier someone gave me) spread across the city with zombies turned on, and as out men fought each other they'd resurrect into a 3 way war.
We were not allowed vehicles and had to make it to the "Safe zone" in the center of the city, I miss the old days.

Sounds like you were basically making your own survival horror RTS long before zombie mode was a standard feature. That Big Easy setup with no vehicles and a race to the safe zone sounds tense in the best way, especially with the resurrect mechanic turning every loss into another enemy. Those MSN Gaming Zone days really were something special with dial up lag, discs on the desk, and hours disappearing before you even realized it.
โYes,there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on.โ
