DOSBox-X Git (2026/07/22) has been compiled. DOSBox-x is a fork of DOSBox. DOSBox emulates an Intel x86 PC, providing sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, and more, essential for playing numerous classic MS-DOS games that cannot be executed on contemporary PCs and operating systems, including Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, and FreeBSD.

DOSBox-X Changelog:
* FAT driver: Open file objects should utilize clusterChainMemory() to prevent re-reading the file allocation chain each time the DOS application seeks or reads in the file, except when seeking backwards. Currently, file writes do not incorporate the cluster chain memory
* fatFile::fatFile reorganized code, moving seekto to the location where it is utilized (no other areas use it)
