DOSBox-X Git (2026/07/26) is now available. DOSBox-x is an extension of DOSBox. DOSBox simulates an Intel x86 PC, complete with sound, graphics, mouse, joystick, modem, and other features necessary for running numerous classic MS-DOS games that are incompatible with modern PCs and operating systems, including Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, and FreeBSD.

DOSBox-X Changelog:
* Merge pull request #6430 from cimarronm/fatdrive-constructor-fix
* Update CHANGELOG
* Addressed two bugs on error paths in fatDrive::fatDrive(sysFilename, …). The boot-sector read-error path incorrectly returned without setting created_successfully = false (defaulting to true), causing a truncated read to be mistakenly recognized as a successful mount; additionally, the qcow2 and read-error early-return paths failed to wrap diskfile in a loadedDisk, resulting in a file handle leak. Both issues now set the flag and fclose() before returning.
