In the emulation story

blueminder’s Flycast Dojo is a fork focused on netplay and replay features. It can be used independently or through Fightcade. Its development illustrates how the emulator’s shared source can support specialized tools for communities playing older fighting games. Project record.

Preserving an opponent too

An arcade fighter makes more sense with another person across from you. Flycast Dojo’s training and replay tools also preserve something around the program: a way to practice, inspect a mistake and return for another round.

The project’s own documentation describes standalone use and integration with Fightcade. It is a specialized fork, rather than a replacement name for every Flycast build. Its interface reflects a community interested in matches and practice as well as compatibility.
