Charles MacDonald authored Genesis Plus. Dreamcast developers adapted that emulator into Genesis Plus DC, adding console-specific graphics and interface work. The project record credits the original emulator separately from the Dreamcast contributors. That distinction preserves the relationship between a portable emulator and the people who make it usable on another machine.
