Erings v0.4.0, a Sega Saturn emulator, is now available. Though still a work in progress, it implements many core hardware components, allowing numerous games to run, some at full speed. The emulator prioritizes user experience and aims to support most officially licensed games, though it won’t cover every aspect of the Saturn. Notable updates include 2-player support in the UI, controller profiles, rumble support via erumble files, and an auto-download feature. The release also features a writeup on integrating rumble to Saturn games, along with a list of initial compatible titles.

erings v0.4.0 has been released. It is a Sega Saturn emulator still in development. Most of the console’s key internal hardware components have been implemented to varying degrees. Many games can be played, with several running at full speed. However, numerous bugs remain to be addressed. The primary goal of erings is to provide a playable experience for most officially licensed games while enhancing user interaction. This is not designed to be a flawless emulator for every feature of the Saturn. Certain functionalities and components are intentionally unsupported and will remain so. It may be more appropriate to view this as a Saturn game player rather than a complete digital Saturn console.
