Luna’s Project64 v3.6.5 has been released. This version is a fork of Project64 3.0.1, designed to provide a Linux-compatible alternative to 2.4 (and it works on Windows as well). The focus is not on accuracy or compatibility; instead, it aims to enhance functionality for a better gameplay experience on specific games. This version eliminates the nagware screen and includes all necessary plugins to ensure smooth gameplay.
Notable changes from the original:
The emulator will notify you to update when a new version becomes available.
There are now additional savestate slots, totaling 100. You can adjust these in the hotkeys tab within the settings window or access them through the system menu.
Loading savestates is now quicker, and using this feature frequently while screensharing on Discord wonโt crash the game anymore.
The keyboard shortcuts for increasing and decreasing the game’s speed have been modified to Ctrl + and Ctrl – respectively, as the previous shortcuts were disruptive.
The issue that caused the EEPROM to display corrupted data (such as 182 stars in each file) upon opening certain hacks has been fixed.
Project64 icons have been updated to purpleโjust a fun little detail. ^-^
And more improvements!
