MAME4droid Changelog:
New in 1.38.3: Complete controller overhaul: 10 buttons per player, numbered naming, and improved savestate functionality
Addition of two more gamepad buttons per player (totaling 10), suitable for pads with back paddles or a full face cluster.
Buttons renamed from letters to numbers (BTN1..BTN10) in the mapping interface,
on-screen art, and the OSD, eliminating conflicts with the pad’s A/B/X/Y buttons.
Deleting a savestate now utilizes SAF, ensuring it completely vanishes from
MAME’s list rather than remaining as a stale cache.
Save/load state menus now allow every face button to name a slot, including BTN1 and BTN2.
NOTE: Custom controller mappings will reset to defaults upon upgrade due to the
addition of new buttons that changed every stored index.
