NooDS Git Release (August 2, 2026)

NooDS Git (2026/08/02) is a fast NDS emulator available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and Nintendo Switch. To use it, install wxWidgets (Linux/macOS) or Visual C++ runtime (Windows). It currently lacks high-level BIOS emulation; you’ll need BIOS files (“bios7.bin,” “bios9.bin”) and “firmware.bin” in the executable’s directory. For Switch users, include a ROM named “rom.nds” since there’s no file browser. Recent updates include separate DSi firmware support and stubbing some registers for improved performance. Downloads available for Windows x64 and Android.

NooDS Git (2026/08/02) has been compiled. This is a (hopefully!) fast NDS emulator. NooDS can be used on Linux, macOS, Windows, and the Nintendo Switch. Automatic builds are available; to utilize them, you will need to install wxWidgets on Linux or macOS, or the latest Visual C++ runtime library for Windows. Currently, NooDS does not support high-level BIOS emulation. To run games, you must have the BIOS files, “bios7.bin” and “bios9.bin”, in addition to a firmware file named “firmware.bin” located in the same directory as the executable. For the Switch, ensure you have a ROM file named “rom.nds” in the directory, as there is no file browser available yet.

* Stubbed some registers to address a new DSi error
