NooDS Git (2026/08/04) is a fast NDS emulator available for Linux, macOS, Windows, and Nintendo Switch. To use it, install wxWidgets on Linux/macOS or the latest Visual C++ runtime on Windows. High-level BIOS emulation is not yet supported; you’ll need “bios7.bin,” “bios9.bin,” and “firmware.bin” files in the same directory as the executable. For the Switch, a ROM file named “rom.nds” is required, as it lacks a file browser. Recent updates include improvements for direct booting DSi homebrew. Downloads are available for Windows and Android.

NooDS Git (2026/08/04) has been compiled. This is a (hopefully!) fast NDS emulator. NooDS is compatible with Linux, macOS, Windows, and the Nintendo Switch. Automatic builds are available; to utilize them, you’ll need to install wxWidgets on Linux or macOS, or the latest Visual C++ runtime library on Windows. Currently, NooDS does not offer high-level emulation of the BIOS. To play games, you will need BIOS files named “bios7.bin” and “bios9.bin”, along with a firmware file named “firmware.bin”, all placed in the same directory as the executable. For the Switch, a ROM file named “rom.nds” must also be in the directory, as there is no file browser at this time.
