Pony Canyon, Inc.

Pony Canyon, Inc. is a Tokyo-based Japanese media company that moved into video games in the early 1980s after the Pony and Canyon labels consolidated into the Pony/Pony Canyon identity. During the 1980s and 1990s it released computer and Famicom/NES conversions and licensed localizations — including Japanese releases of Origin’s Ultima and AD&D series and several console ports — and operated regional subsidiaries later in the 1990s. Corporate histories identify its Tokyo headquarters and the Pony→Pony Canyon naming lineage.
