TDK Mediactive, Inc.

TDK Mediactive, Inc. operated as a U.S.-based video game publisher in the early 2000s, publishing licensed and original console and handheld titles. The company was formed when Sound Source Interactive—founded by Vincent J. Bitetti—was brought under the TDK umbrella and rebranded as TDK Mediactive in 2000; it listed a Southern California operating base and Delaware incorporation. Documents from 2002–2003 show TDK USA as a majority owner and list Shin Tanabe in a senior role. The imprint released a range of licensed games during its run before being acquired by Take-Two in 2003, including Robotech: Battlecry and multiple licensed kids’ and movie tie-ins.
